Meeting this Wednesday!

Our next meeting will be this Wednesday (Sept. 29) with the music editor of Flagpole Magazine, Michelle Gilzenrat, at 7 p.m. in MLC room 207! Hope to see everyone there!


If you haven't paid your dues, please bring them to this meeting. Remember, it is $10 for the entire year. These funds will cover the cost of food at each meeting and will allow you all to receive reimbursement for gas when we go on Field Trips!!

Last minute change of plans!

Unfortunately, Mrs. Simmons had a last minute emergency and will no
longer be able to join us this week for the meeting.

However, we will still be meeting to collect dues and to discuss some
of the plans for the year!

You definitely want to come to this meeting, we will discuss what dues
are used for, discuss the availability of everyone's schedules, any
ideas for the upcoming year.. etc.

Can't wait to see everyone there same place same time, ROOM 247 IN THE
MLC. 7 PM !!

Next meeting and Dues!!

Hey everyone! I think the first meeting was overall a success and I am
very excited about the turn out!

Our next meeting will be with Kelly Simmons the editor of georgia
magazine. It will be on Wednesday Sept. 15th, at 7 PM. It will be in
ROOM 247 in the SLC (or MLC I guess for you younger kids)

Please bring $10 for the club dues. This will cover your dues for the
entire year, and is a very reasonable price considering you will get
food at every meeting!

Everyone get excited for our next meeting and let me know if you have
any suggestions!

First meeting of the year!

Our first meeting of the year will be this Wednesday, September 1st. Andrew Tucker and Rick O'Quinn will be speaking. They are both journalists and photojournalists at Georgia Magazine. Our meeting will be in room 510 in the Journalism building. Can't wait to see everyone there!

Possible internship in Athens

Hey Everyone! I am posting an email from Mrs. Kelly Simmons who is the editor of Georgia Magazine about a possible internship opportunity for the fall. I am unexpectedly in need of a second intern for the 2010/11 academic year. The job requires that interns be here 10 hours a week (time spent reporting outside the office is counted against those 10 hours) and applicants must have proven writing skills and a good grasp of AP style. The pay is $7.50 an hour. If you would pass along my contact info to members of the club, I would appreciate it.
